At Menier Venues, we specialise in creating charming, one-off venues, offering unique settings for corporate clients and private events. From film location hire to workshops, product launches and creative productions, we deliver adaptable, reliable spaces thanks to decades of experience under our belt. We work with trusted partners, including AV specialists and sustainable local caterers, to deliver an exceptional experience for our managed events, supporting our reputation for outstanding service within beautiful, unconventional spaces. With bespoke venue hire and professional event management from our on-site team, we ensure every detail of your USP is delivered with precision. OUR HISTORY

Menier Venues was formed in 2017, when Sophie Stade Cohn began organising photoshoots, filming and one-off events in unoccupied spaces across London Bridge. The success of these ventures over the next few years led to a series of permanent spaces being curated by Sophie for the property company, Southwark Square.

Sophie now manages a team of property event professionals operating under the banner of Menier Venues. As a female-led specialist in adaptable creative spaces, we bring decades of experience across the team to the London event industry. Together, the team coordinates an offering of temporary and permanent spaces for events, offices, retail, theatre, entertainment and food and drink. Venue operations are led by Head of Events Momoko Cheng, who has grown the company’s reputation for managing exciting and unusual spaces over the last 4 years.

Our longstanding team means we can consistently deliver the high standards expected by our clients: trusted to deliver a unique, personalised service amid our beautifully curated spaces.

OUR APPROACH

The commitment and attentiveness we show our clients is a staple value of the Menier Venues team. We provide boutique event venues and meeting rooms in the heart of London Bridge that serve as a distinctive alternative to traditional settings.

We are proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer, and to be working with local sustainable restaurants to provide excellent catering to you and your guests. Several charitable discounts are available too, which have been used by an eclectic group of charities, from the World Wildlife Foundation to Make a Wish Foundation and Cancer Research.

We have also enabled charities to shoot documentaries such as This is Deaf for BSL Zone and The Black Maternity Scandal, as well as short films for children’s mental health charity Nip in the Bud via price reductions and free use of space. These are well-known brands that trust us for filming and corporate events based on our commitment to professional delivery.

Case Study

We are passionate about the opportunity we have to create change within our industry

We, like many of our clients, want to minimise our impact on the environment and run a sustainable and responsible company. We take daily actions to evaluate and improve our practices: ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ is our simple mantra to lower our carbon emissions and manage sustainable venues.

We encourage everyone in the team to make sustainable choices – from buying second hand furniture, to working with sustainable and local caterers, to using the Olio app to distribute the vast majority of leftover food to our local community in Southwark we harness the desire of our team to make a difference.

We have filter taps in our venues, and limit the use of single-use plastic whenever we manage the catering in-house by providing crockery, cutlery and glasses, and using our A++ energy performing dishwashers.

We recently took part in the London Mayor’s Business Climate Challenge. Our spaces were accessed and we received feedback on how to make our buildings more sustainable and energy efficient. Our re-opened Lounge space improved its EPB rating from a D to a B!

Menier Venues also has its own little corner of biodiversity. Our first-floor garden not only delights guests, but it also provides a habitat for local birds and insects.

Our portfolio is situated in the heart of London Bridge, SE1, approximately a three-minute walk from London Bridge Station and moments from Borough Market.

Our capacities range from intimate meeting rooms for small groups to larger spaces like The Penthouse and The Playhouse, which can accommodate up to 60 and 100 guests, respectively.

We specialise in a diverse range of gatherings, including corporate away days, strategy meetings, product launches, press events, boutique weddings, and creative film or photography shoots.
