Proactive and people-focused, Violet supports the team day to day while providing warm, professional client-facing service across our venues.

It’s a highlight for me to be part of bringing those occasions to life and seeing everything come together.

What came before your role at Menier Venues?

Before joining Menier Venues, I worked as a Personal Assistant for a dog training company based in Scotland. It was a great introduction to supporting a small, busy team and taught me a lot about organisation, communication and looking after both people and their pets.

That experience really shaped how I approach my role now, being adaptable, staying calm and always trying to anticipate what someone might need next.

What does your role involve day to day?

I support both Menier Venues and Southwark Square, helping with enquiries, confirming bookings and providing day-to-day office support.

A big part of my role is client-facing. I provide customer service support by liaising with clients via phone and email, and guiding them through viewings of our spaces so they can picture how their event will work. I also help the team with venue set-up, opening and closing procedures, and general organisation behind the scenes.

I assist with stock management when needed, and on event days, I’m involved in the smooth coordination and delivery of events. It’s a mix of practical tasks and people-focused work, which I really enjoy.

What’s been a highlight for you so far?

I really enjoy the events side of the company. It’s a highlight for me to be part of bringing those occasions to life and seeing everything come together.

I love meeting the wide range of interesting and creative clients we have; everyone brings something different, and no two events feel the same.

What skills or strengths do you bring to the team?

Organisation is one of my key strengths; I like keeping things running smoothly and making sure details aren’t missed. I’m naturally proactive, so I’ll always try to step in and help before something becomes a problem.

I’m also calm under pressure, which is especially useful on busy event days. I think that helps clients and colleagues feel more at ease, even when a lot is happening at once.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

I love animals and spending time in the countryside, being outdoors is really important to me. Creatively, I enjoy painting, and I like to balance that with exercise and cooking. Those things help me switch off, recharge and come back to work feeling refreshed.

What is your favourite Menier Venues space and why?

My favourite venue is the Penthouse. The views are incredible and give such a special feel to any event. I also love how beautifully the space is designed, it feels bright, welcoming and thoughtfully put together, which makes it a lovely place to spend time in.
